AKIS in action: Strengthening AKIS through women-led innovation

This Event is a Networking Event by FLIARA & modernAKIS.

Women are one of the driving forces in agriculture and make a crucial contribution to sustainable development.

With this event, we want to emphasize the central role of women and their innovation power in AKIS and raise awareness of their influence and value in the rural economy and development. The aim is to underscore why women-led innovation is a priority for the European Commission, and to explore measures being implemented to support and integrate these innovations down to the farm level.

Case studies from FLIARA in Ireland and Spain will showcase how AKIS supports female entrepreneurship in agriculture and rural communities. The Austrian ZAMm unterwegs project (Together on the way) showcases a model for training female leaders and change-makers in systemic transformation.
