Work Packages

Track and engage key AKIS actors of change across the EU in Transformative AKIS Journeys (TAJ) to enable the development of appropriate and sound AKIS governance in MS interlinking AKIS, strategy designs and functioning. This WP will iteratively co-design, with the AKIS CBs and other actors of change (WP2), the overall conceptual and methodological framework for TAJs, provide ready to put in practice knowledge that will backstop and fuel continuous capacity building activities of AKIS CBs and the respective AKISs actors (WP3 and WP4) along with the wider engagement, dissemination, and exploitation activities of the project (WP5).

WP2 aims to empower CAP Managing Authorities, AKIS CBs and key AKIS actors with networks, tools, and activities, which facilitate improved knowledge flows by making information and knowledge more readily available and accessible. This WP will frame the capacity building by setting up effective networking structures within Member States and internationally, both within the project but also together with other relevant actors at European level. 

The overall objective of this work package is to build the capacity of AKIS Coordinating Bodies and other AKIS actors to understand, analyse, transform, monitor, and evaluate their AKIS. Particular attention will be paid to building capacity for effective networking, enhancement of knowledge flows and AKIS governance activities. Online training modules and other training materials will be produced to Create better-informed and engaged AKIS actors.

WP4 enables key AKIS actors to enact their Transformative AKIS Journeys (WP1) through continuous improvement at different levels by dynamically involving the Communities of Practice (CoPs) (WP2) in capacity building along AKIS-relevant CAP topics, providing key AKIS actors with insights, good practices, and models for designing and deploying impactful AKIS Strategic Plans, thus creating a positive impact on CAP policy objectives of each Member State.

WP5 will widely communicate, disseminate, and engage with AKIS actors in the most efficient way that ensures information and knowledge are better available, shared, and accessible between AKIS actors of the 27 EU MSs in the project. We will develop awareness and engage the AKIS community, communicating the activities and disseminating the outcomes of modernAKIS.

• Achieve project goals and milestones, deliver project results and deliverables in time, in quality and in budget and in compliance with the Grant and the Consortium Agreements 
• Ensure adequate communication and cooperation between the WPs, with the AKIS network, and other projects and initiatives (regional, national, and European) 
• Ensure inclusive, transparent, and effective decision processes with all project partners and stakeholders within the project 
• Assure the multi-actor approach as leading principle for adequate involvement of relevant partners and stakeholders
