AKIS International Conference

The modernAKIS project is pleased to announce the first AKIS International Conference, taking place in Budapest, Hungary on 22 October 2025. We invite you to join this event, which will offer a dynamic platform for reflection, discussion, and knowledge exchange on how Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation Systems (AKIS) can adapt and thrive within the framework of the CAP post-2027.
The conference will bring together policymakers, advisors, researchers, and key stakeholders to explore the current state and future direction of AKIS in Europe. The programme is structured around two main themes:
- Morning sessions: “Where are we going?” – focusing on policy updates, stakeholder perspectives, and the evolving role of advisors in the agricultural sector.
- Afternoon sessions: “What can we learn from what we already do?” – highlighting insights from EIP-AGRI projects and strategies to support innovation through practice-oriented research.
In addition to plenary presentations, participants will join interactive workshops designed to foster collaboration and in-depth discussion on advisory and thematic networks, regional development and innovation, and AKIS supporting projects.
The overall objective of the conference is to inspire constructive dialogue, strengthen connections within the AKIS community, and provide actionable guidance to support the development of a more effective and resilient AKIS across Europe.
The conference welcomes all those involved in the AKIS community, including professionals working in agricultural knowledge, innovation and rural development. The event will be held in English.
In-person registration is now closed, but you can still join us online via Zoom.
