Anarsia Dialoghi “Compare experience and knowledge”

ANARSIA Dialogues’ was held on 16-18. ANARSIA is the National Association of Regional Agencies for Agronomic Forestry Development and Innovation’ and promoted the event to start dialoguing with regional and national AKIS coordination bodies on the topic of demofarms. The Agencies and ANARSIA represent very important actors of the Italian AKIS, because of the capillary presence they have at territorial level, their knowledge of the different territorial vocations across the country, and the trustability they have with the actors of the AKIS and, above all, the farmers.

The purpose of the event, hosted by Terre Regionali, was to discuss with the AKIS coordination bodies the potential for the establishment of a network of demofarms in Italy, how to organize and implement demonstration activities, and the role of ANARSIA in this regard. The meeting also discussed the back-offices that are being set up in various Italian regions. Tom Kelly, TEAGASC expert, provided important insights on how to organise a demofarms network. Simona Cristiano presented many messages and the practical tools provided by FARMDEMO, NEFERTITI and the other projects. It was an important opportunity to discuss the opportunity to become part of the modernAKIS network and participate in its activities in order to benefit from the diversity of European experiences and to draw inspiration for the establishment of an Italian network of demofarms.
