Building Collaboration: Second Spanish Community of Practice
On 11 November 2025, the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA) and the Galician Enterprise-University Foundation (FEUGA) held the second session of the modernAKIS Capacity Building Workshop of the Spanish Community of Practice — a two-part programme designed to deepen the shared understanding of AKIS evaluation and governance in Spain.
The first session, held online, brought together 111 participants to explore the fundamentals of interactive innovation, the evolving AKIS governance model, and the importance of monitoring and evaluation in supporting the AKIS. Participants emphasized the importance of greater coordination among actors, clearer roles in governance, and the need to strengthen advisory and training structures to support innovation across territories.
The second, in-person session took place at La Vega Innova, in Madrid, with 41 participants engaging in case presentations, a guided visit, and a hands-on group dynamic. The discussion focused on real examples of digital advisory services, skills development, and evaluation approaches already being implemented in Spain. We closed the day with collaborative reflections on opportunities and challenges for the AKIS ecosystem moving forward.

A warm thank you to all speakers, participants, and organizing partners for your contributions!
